Learn Chinese in China with our immersion HomeStay program. You will learn Chinese in Beijing in small groups at our new school under the guidance of a native-Chinese teacher. Staying with a Chinese family, you will learn to speak Chinese rapidly, with additional support from our 54 online Chinese lessons.

Chinese Horizon have designed the HomeStay program for people who want to dedicate their time to intensive Chinese learning. In a short time students, totally immersed in a Chinese environment, can achieve rapid progress in their command of the Chinese language and knowledge of the culture. We recommend this program to prepare you for living and working in China.

The program combines an intensive Chinese course with on-line and teacher lessons, study tours, club activities and homestay with Chinese families. Thanks to the online lessons, students, can preview and review the contents before and after attending the teacher lessons, and can go on consolidating long after they have finished the course.

     Hours per week with teachers: 25
     On-line learning: 4 months/grade

The complete program includes five grades, with 12 levels. Each grade takes 4 weeks for Daily Chinese, and 6 weeks for Elite Chinese and courses are held continually all year round. Students will be placed in an appropriate class after taking a placement test.

Those who have successfully completed the first three grades: Daily Connection, Daily Competence and Daily Comfort should be able to start directly in  the second academic year at a university.

And those who have successfully completed the last two grades: Elite Enrichment and Elite Empowerment should be able to understand TV news and drama; and be able to get the gist of newspapers and magazines if you choose to learn Chinese characters.

Diplomas will be issued jointly by Chinese Horizon and the School of Humanities and Public Administration, UIBE upon successful completion of each course.
